How Domaine Uma uses your data

This page explains, in plain terms, what data the domaine-uma.fr website collects, why, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights. It complements the legal notice.

In short

  • We collect personal data only when you fill in a form.
  • We never sell or share your data, and we use no advertising cookies.
  • Visit statistics are anonymous: no cookies, and your IP address is not stored.
  • You can ask to access, correct or delete your data at any time.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Domaine Uma, Route de la Chapelle d’Aleyrac, 34270 Valflaunès, France. For any question about your data: contact@domaine-uma.fr. Full legal details are in the legal notice.

Data collected through forms

Each form asks only for what is needed to reply to you.

  • Contact: name, email address, subject and message.
  • Booking an event or experience: chosen event, preferred date, number of guests, name, email address, phone (optional) and message.
  • Quote request (business, family and friends): company, job title, name, phone, email address, type of event, package, date, number of participants, indicative budget, needs and message. Only name, email address and type of event are required.
  • Newsletter: email address, plus the date and time of your consent.
  • Application (“Join us” page): name, email address, phone, position, message and CV.

To limit abusive submissions, we also keep with each request a technical fingerprint of your connection (not your IP address itself).

Why we use this data

  • Reply to your message and process your booking or quote request (pre-contractual measures and legitimate interest).
  • Send you the newsletter (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
  • Review your application (your consent).
  • Protect the site against automated and abusive submissions (legitimate interest).

Visit statistics

We measure visits to the site with an in-house tool hosted on the same server as the site. It sets no cookies, uses no advertising identifier and passes nothing to any third party.

For each visit, we record: the page viewed, the date and time, the time spent and how far the page was read, the referring site, the type of device, the browser, the system, the language, the screen width, and the approximate country, region and city. Key actions (quote request, phone call, brochure download) are also counted.

Your IP address is not stored: it is used for a moment to determine the country and city, then forgotten. An anonymous, irreversible identifier that changes every day is used only to count visitors. This data is used only to understand how the site is used and to improve it (legitimate interest).

The measurement is not active if your browser sends the “Do Not Track” signal (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control). You can also turn it off yourself:

Approximate geolocation relies on the IP to City Lite database provided by DB-IP.com (www.db-ip.com), under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.

Cookies

The site sets only two strictly necessary cookies: uma_age (age confirmation, 12 months) and uma_cookies (your cookie choice, 6 months). The Google Maps map on the Contact page is loaded only with your consent; Google may then set its own cookies. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page.

Who receives your data

Your data is intended for Domaine Uma only: only the team members who handle requests have access to it. It is neither sold nor shared.

It is hosted in France by OVH SAS (Roubaix), acting as a technical processor. Two third-party services may be used at your initiative: Google Maps (if you accept the map) and Zenchef (if you book a table, on its own site, under its own privacy policy).

How long we keep your data

  • Contact, booking and quote requests: as long as needed to process them, then at most 3 years after the last exchange.
  • Applications and CVs: 12 months.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Visit statistics: 25 months at most.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. The administration area is password-protected and reserved for the team, and requests stored on the site can only be read from that area.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to contact@domaine-uma.fr: we reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
